Library Donations

Monetary gifts given to the Pike County Public Library make our branches more welcoming, better equipped, more convenient and better places to learn and grow. Your contribution to the library helps give teens a place to study after school, adults a place to use computers for job searches and ensures the library stays up to date with emerging technologies. 2023

Thank you PLA for the ATT Phase 2 digital Literacy Grant in the amount of $6,000 to teach digital literacy workshops in our county.

Thank you Indiana Arts Council for the $3,200 Arts Support grant for us to facilitate youth art workshops and hold an arts festival as well as the distinction of being a Trust Arts Program.

Thank you Indiana Destination Development Corporation for the $10,000 Public Art Activation Grant for a public mural to be painted on the side of the Winslow Branch of the Pike County Public Library by local artist Jason Martin.

2022

Thank you Indiana Humanities for the $4,000 Capacity Building Grant to support our efforts to digitize our microfilm so that more residents have access to those newspaper resources.

2021

Thank you to the United Way Phase Three grant in the amount of $3209.00 to support the creation of an outdoor Public WIFI seating zone.

Thank you to the United Way for a Wave 2 fund Grant for $1,500 in support of full county access to the ABC Mouse online learning database for one year.

Thank you PLA for a grant to support a Summer Intern in the Genealogy Department.

Thank you WIN Energy for the $5,000.00 grant to support the addition of a flat playground at the Petersburg Branch Location.

Thank you to the United Way for the donation of $2,880.00 for the addition of Pre-K Academy Launchpad tablets.

Thank you to the Indiana State Library and ARPA Funds for the grant of $22024.03 to purchase two self-check out units.

Thank you Browning Genealogy & Local History for the $986.57 donation to further the efforts of our team to preserve the history of our residents through your database.

Thank you Indiana Humanities for a grant to participate in the Indiana Author’s Award for Katie Hesterman to come and present to our Pike County school aged children.

Thank you IMLS with ASTC for awarding us a Communities for Immunity grant in the amount of $10,000 to purchase a Healthbot to promote the importance of vaccines as well as overall good health in our Wellness Station.

2020

Thank you ALA for a $2000 grant to support our efforts to promote the Census in Pike County.

Thank you Indiana Arts Commission for a $26,033.68 grant to support our efforts to continue our arts and cultural programing throughout this pandemic.

Thank you to the Indiana Humanities for the $7,500 grant to help with operating expenses from May 2020 to October 2020.

Thank you to the United Way Phase Two grant to purchase Printer On for all residents to print to the Library from their devices anytime, anywhere.

Thank you to the United Way Phase One grant to purchase a mobile book hotspot with around $4,000 of e material for the year.

Thank you to Pike County and the Indiana Finance Authority for the $10,000 to purchase a self serve library document station.

Thank you PLA and Young Invincibles for the $2000 grant to certify our staff to become become Navigators during Open Enrollment at the Pike County public Library.
